2022 IMPACT REPORT
In 2022, in partnership with the Israel-based Atalef Foundation, our programs and services accelerates as never before. The Israeli government made its first investment in out Buddy Line program benefiting veterans from across the IDF by funding an additional group. We won long-overdue government recognition and medical benefits for more than one thousand Israel Navy SEALs who trained in toxic waters. And the Israel Navy SEAL community raised $150,000 at the Atelef’s first-ever gala in Tel Aviv, a testament to the impact of our shared programs. Today, the Atalef Foundation is recognized as a leading Israeli NGO, and for good reason.
Here in the U.S., we doubled attendance and revebue at our annual Los Angeles event, and raised nearly $500,000 at our standing room-only NYC Evening of Tribute. We gratefully elevated volunteer-leaders on both coast to our board of directors and National Leadership Council. Nationwide, an ever-growing number of US-based Israel Navy SEAL-volunteers helped to convey the role and values of the elite unit, Shayetet-13, through which we affect change in broader Israeli and Jewish society.
None of thei Would be possible without the generosity of the AFINS community. Thank you, and please read on for highlights of our accomplishments in 2022.

WINNING CRITICAL BENEFITS FOR KISHON DIVERS
On February 8th, our Israeli partner Atalef Foundation changed how Israel treats its veterans. Following years of advocacy by Atalef and its partners, Israel's Ministry of Defense began providing disabled-veteran benefits to Israel Navy SEALs who trained in the heavily polluted Kishon port and later developed cancers and other illnesses as a result. Hundreds of Israel Navy SEALs and their families are already benefiting.
