On November 14th, more than 350 supporters attended AFINS' fourth-annual Evening of Tribute at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City, including more than 30 Israel Navy SEALs. We explored how the Israel Navy SEALs lead by design both in defending Israel and in life after military service with the help of our programs:
Noam, who chose elite military service over the option to pursue international renown as a pianist, opened with a masterful excerpt from Beethoven.
Ben described finding a much-needed new teammate within our Mentorship program, the first of its kind for IDF veterans, which we have over the years helped other units to emulate.
Raanan, a Golani Brigade veteran, described a fateful day on the battlefield and his subsequent struggle with PTSD. He was then joined on-stage by Artur, an Israel Navy SEAL veteran who surfs with him weekly, and the two described their relationship and the transformative impact of our Buddy Line program.
We are grateful for the generosity of our Host Committee members and sponsors, individual supporters and everyone who contributed at and following the event! Our special thanks to each of our event sponsors.
